You always own your domain and your content. Ownership terms for the leased design and code are spelled out in plain English before you sign.
On a new site, the 2-year minimum is what lets us skip the big upfront cost. Other monthly packages (hosting & support, SEO and ads) have a 6-month minimum because results need time to build and be measured fairly.
